About
Jackson Carter joined the Ouachita faculty in 2020 as an Instructor of Communications. Before coming
to Ouachita as a faculty member, Jackson studied at the University of South Carolina,
where he is currently working on his doctorate in communications and focusing on advertising
and human-computer interaction. Jackson returns to Ouachita after graduating from
OBU with his B.A. in 2015 and from the University of Arkansas - Little Rock in 2017
with an M.A. in mass communications.
Outside of academics, Jackson has worked professionally in the advertising industry,
with experience in content production, web development and search engine optimization
for clients in the agriculture, healthcare, law and higher education industries. Jackson
now conducts consumer market research for agencies and their clients.
