Dr. Linda K. Littlefield is a seasoned therapist, educator, and researcher with a diverse background in counseling.
Holding a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary, she is dedicated to advancing the field of mental health.
With extensive postgraduate training, Dr. Littlefield is a National Certified Counselor
and certified in Prepare/Enrich and EMDR. Her commitment to professional development
is evident through various trainings, including Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral
Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
As a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist in Alabama,
Dr. Littlefield has provided counseling services at various institutions, including
the Celebration Hope Center and the Leeke Magee Christian Counseling Center. Currently,
she owns and operates Hopeful Journey Christian Counseling, LLC in Ozark, Alabama.
Dr. Littlefield's passion for education is reflected in her teaching experience. She
has served as a teaching assistant and adjunct instructor at the New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary, as well as an adjunct instructor at Montreat College.
Her contributions extend beyond the counseling room, as she has presented at conferences
on topics such as marriage enrichment, addiction resources, and trauma survivor counseling.
Dr. Littlefield's research, including her Ph.D. dissertation on Adverse Childhood
Experiences and Emotional Intelligence, showcases her commitment to advancing the
understanding of complex issues in pastoral counseling.
Dr. Littlefield is an active member of several professional societies, including the
American Counseling Association, American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists,
and American Association of Christian Counselors. Her dedication to ethical practice
is evident in her involvement in presentations on ethics in counseling.
Recognized as the Researcher of the Year by the Southern Baptist Research Fellowship
in 2020 and awarded the Jack and Juanita Cunningham Scholarship Fund for Holy Land
Travel, Dr. Littlefield continues to contribute significantly to the field of counseling
through her research, teaching, and clinical work.
