About
Dr. Karen Roudkovski is a dedicated counselor, educator, and researcher committed to making a positive
impact in the field of mental health. She earned the Master of Divinity and Master
of Theology degrees, in addition to a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision
from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She brings a wealth of knowledge
and expertise to her practice and is passionate about the integration of one’s faith
in counseling.
Dr. Roudkovski's professional journey includes serving as an Assistant Professor of
Counseling at Mississippi College, where she imparts her wisdom to the next generation
of counselors. Her teaching experience extends to roles such as Contract Professor
and Director of Clinical Training at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary,
where she played a pivotal role in shaping master's counseling students.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor in Louisiana, Dr.
Roudkovski has provided counseling services at various locations, contributing to
the well-being of individuals and families. Her dedication to ongoing professional
development is evident in her pursuit of EMDR certification and Perinatal Mental Health
Certification.
Dr. Roudkovski's commitment to research is showcased in her forthcoming books: Understanding
Spiritual Abuse: What it Is and How to Respond, Spiritual Abuse Assessment: A Tool
for Survivors and Their Helpers, and Spiritual Abuse Recovery Workbook: Engaging Faith
in Healing. She is also the co-author of a forthcoming a book on the topic of Crisis
Counseling in the church, emphasizing her dedication to addressing critical issues
in the church and community.
An active member of professional associations such as the American Counseling Association
and EMDR International Association, Dr. Roudkovski continually engages in the latest
advancements in counseling practices. Her 2023 presentation at the American Association
of Christian Counselors World Conference demonstrates her commitment to sharing knowledge
and contributing to the broader counseling community.
As the owner of Bridge Integrative Counseling LLC, Dr. Roudkovski creates a trauma-informed
therapeutic space where individuals can embark on a journey of healing. Her passion
for counseling, teaching, and research positions her as a valuable asset to the mental
