for outdoor ministry by moving to HoneyRock - Outdoor Center for Leadership Development

camp programs while they earned graduate degrees in Christian Formation and Ministry
emphasizing in Outdoor and Adventure Leadership.
Now in Arkadelphia, Shane is a member of the Clark County Search and Rescue Team and

Fun Facts
What do you like most about your field?
I am passionate about using challenge to help people grow closer to God and learn
more about themselves. This challenge comes through experiences in Creation and competition
with others and self. I believe that the growth and life lessons learned during these
challenges will make the students of Ouachita Baptist University better servants of
Christ.
If you were anything other than RecLife Director, what would you be and why?
I would probably go back to working in camp ministry as this suits my passions. My
work with the Caddo Valley Volunteer Fire Department has made me consider a career
in this, as well.
