Ian Robert Cosh
Assistant to the President and Director of Daniel & Betty Jo Grant Center for International Education

Ian presently serves as Assistant to the President for Community Development and Director of the Daniel & Betty Jo Grant Center for International Education. He is a member of the President’s Cabinet and the Administrative Council. Cosh is a native of Northern Ireland, was raised in Zimbabwe, and has lived in the Republic of South Africa. He became an American citizen in 1999.
As a global citizen, Cosh has been able to take students on service projects around the world. Some of the countries include Australia, Kazakhstan, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, the Dominican Republic, India and Japan. He has also engaged students in inner-city service in cities such as New Orleans, Houston, and San Antonio.
His community involvement has included work as the inaugural chair of the Clark County Transitional Employment Assistance Program. He has serve on the board of the Arkadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Community Counseling Services, Inc. He is a charter member and past-president of the Arkadelphia Rotary Sunrise Club and served as District Governor for District 6170 during the 2006-2007 Rotary year.
He has also been a part of the Arkansas Governor’s Advisory Council on Volunteerism and served as commissioner and chair of the Arkansas Service Commission, formerly known as the Arkansas Commission on National and Community Service.

Tricia Wempe
Assistant Director of Daniel & Betty Jo Grant Center for International Education

Tricia Wempe works in the international education office, specifically with International Students. She helps prospective students through the application and visa process. Once students arrive on campus, Tricia also works with them on all issues related to immigration compliance and income taxes.
She is a member of the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors (NAFSA). Please contact Tricia if you are interested in applying for admission or have any other questions about what Ouachita Baptist University has to offer International Students.

Sharon Cosh
English as a Second Language Coordinator and Instructor

Sharon Cosh is the Coordinator of the ESL program. She is a native of Zimbabwe, has lived in South Africa, and has been living in Arkansas for the past 23 years. She is married and is the mother of 5 daughters. She has her MA in Teaching English as a Second Language, and has coordinated and taught in the OBU ESL Program since 1993.
She has traveled extensively for both business and pleasure, and has co-led several mission trips around the world. She also directs an evening program of volunteer teaching of English as a Second Language for the Arkadelphia community.

Tanya Jackson
Secretary of International Education Office

Tanya is the secretary for the International Education Office and helps coordinate the study abroad program. She enjoys meeting the International Students and helping them get settled into Ouachita life. She is a wife, mother of 3 daughters and one. Tanya enjoys working behind the scenes to make Ouachita a good experience for all Internationals.
