Drawing from marching band, indoor color guard and marching percussion techniques, and theatre productions, “Tiger Blast” has become one of the most popular performing ensembles on the campus.
This ensemble performs annually in the campus-wide Tiger Tunes production and the music department’s “Festival of Christmas” in the fall. During the Spring semester, “Tiger Blast” has produced their own one-hour exciting show and tours local schools. Membership is open to any student wanting to be involved in the production. The repertoire is a very wide variety of all musical genres. You will find something for everyone in each of the performances.
Color Guard members are welcome to participate in adding additional color to all presentations. Students will experience the combination of musical performance, theatrical techniques and choreography all rolled into one package. If you enjoy exploring your unlimited potential as a performer and if you have a passion for music and movement, you will be enthralled as a member of this performing troupe.
During the Spring semester, those students enrolled will receive one-half hour of academic credit.
