The Department of Biology invites applications for an entry-level, tenure-track or one-year position, depending on applicant qualifications and needs, effective Fall, 2018. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in teaching undergraduates through active learning pedagogy. The candidate will be expected to teach courses for biology majors such as microbiology for Allied Health, environmental biology, as well as science for non-majors. Additionally, the candidate may be asked to create a new upper-level course in their field of interest. Candidates with a research interest in molecular ecology and microbiology are encouraged to apply. A successful candidate will show aptitude and inclination for engaging undergraduates in research, both through individual mentored research as well as course-embedded undergraduate research experiences (CUREs).
