About
I am originally from D'Hanis, Texas, but I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University
in December 2020 with a degree in community & family services and a minor in sociology.
I began working as an admissions counselor in January 2021. While in school, I was
involved in the Ouachita Student Foundation (OSF) and served as a resident assistant
in Maddox Hall my junior year.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking and discovering new coffee shops and sushi restaurants
with my fiancé. I love getting to know prospective students as I help them discover
the college or institution that God is calling them to.
Fun Facts
Favorite Ouachita memory
My favorite Ouachita memory would have to be when I got to take ceramics as an elective
my senior year. I got the opportunity to meet and learn from students and professors
who I normally wouldn't have many classes with. I also discovered my new favorite
hobby of creating art on a pottery wheel!
What do you wish students knew about Ouachita?
I wish students knew that while Ouachita is located in a small town, there is always
so much to do on campus all the time. There are tons of things to get involved in
and opportunities for leadership.
What is your favorite study spot on campus and why?
My favorite study spot on campus is the McClellan rotunda. It was where I wrote my
first paper as a freshman and it is usually so relaxing and quiet there. Plus, it's
only a short walk from Speer Pavilion if you need to get some fresh air!
What do you like most about working with students?
I like working with students because I love to see them come to experience everything
that Ouachita has to offer them. Helping students find the school that God has for
them is something I am passionate about.
