Fun Facts
What do you like most about your field?
We are professional storytellers! I love having the opportunity to transport audiences
to others worlds, allowing them to experience things they might never encounter otherwise.
I believe theatre allows humans to bond in a way that is unique to our art form, experiencing
a shared journey for a few brief hours.
Why did you enter the teaching profession?
The only thing I love more than creating theatre myself is watching my students discover
new ways to create theatre!
What is a favorite moment of working with students at Ouachita?
Opening night of each production is very special for me. The excitement of the students,
ready to share their work with that first audience, is infectious!
What is your go-to TV show or movie?
That’s a tough one! I feel like I should say a Musical, but truthfully, I love the
darker, more suspenseful series! Some favorites are Game of Thrones and The Man in the High Castle. I also watch a lot of foreign-language dramas.
If you were anything other than a professor, what would you be and why?
Well, I was a full-time actor before my teaching career! Nowadays, though, I think
I would be an Arts Administrator. I’ve found I really love the business side of theatre.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
True to form, Verser Theatre! I love an intimate theatre space.
