Extra semesters beyond four years of college can have expensive implications, not only in additional tuition payments but also in lost earnings as full-time work is delayed. To help families manage their investment in a college education by avoiding additional semesters of tuition, Ouachita is offering the Finish in Four Guarantee to students entering Fall 2015 through Fall 2019.
Ouachita’s Finish in Four Guarantee states that, in most degree programs, Ouachita guarantees students can complete a degree in four years. If a student is unable to complete a degree in eight semesters, Ouachita will waive tuition charges for any additional semesters needed to graduate. To qualify for the Finish in Four Guarantee, students must meet these requirements:
The student must select a major by the first day of the second semester of enrollment.
The student may not change majors after the first day of the second semester of enrollment.
The student may not drop below 15 credit hours in any semester.
The student must meet all degree requirements as stated in the general catalog.
The Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree programs are not included in the eight semester guarantee, although many students in those degree programs are able to graduate in eight semesters as well.
With foresight and faithfulness, Ouachita makes a difference. Ouachita’s Finish in Four Guarantee is a substantial way in which Ouachita can make a lasting and significant difference for students and families. Along with generous financial aid opportunities and a history of low year-to-year cost increases, Ouachita provides an exceptional financial value. In fact, Ouachita recently was recognized by CollegeFactual.com among the Top 100 “Best Nationwide Colleges for Your Money,” based on “colleges that deliver a great education compared to their cost.”
