My name is Dawson Pritchard and I am a Senior Admissions Counselor. I get to work with students from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and several Midwest states (CO, IA, MN, ND, NE, SD, WI). I am from Denton, Texas, but have had the joy of calling Ouachita and Arkadelphia home for seven years now! I graduated from Ouachita in May 2014 with my Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology.
I had the privilege to marry my wonderful wife and best friend, Griffin, last July. We both love to cook or bake and we’re always trying something new! We also love to be active, playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, swimming, and anything else where we can be enjoy being outside with our blue heeler, Rosie.
During my time at OBU, I was a member of the men’s swimming and diving teams and served as the tiger mascot for two years. I also worked as a student worker for the Ben M. Elrod Center for Family and Community, where I fell in love with serving others. Ouachita showed me what it meant to care for others in a capacity that I never knew possible and I want to serve you and your family the best that I can!
When I received a call from Ouachita to return as an admissions counselor, I jumped on the opportunity to join the team! I’m working on my fourth year as an admissions counselor and I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve incoming students and show them the many reasons that I fell in love with OBU, as well as to help them find their own reasons to love it.
Please don’t hesitate to call or email me with any questions or comments! Feel free to schedule a campus visit so that I can have the pleasure of meeting you in person!
