My name is Rebekah Taylor and I am an admissions counselor. I’m from Hot Springs, Arkansas, which is only 45 minutes from Arkadelphia. Even though Hot Springs is so close, Ouachita is my true home. I graduated from OBU with a History and Secondary Education degree with a minor in Spanish in May 2015.
While I was at OBU, I was active in many different clubs, ranging from History Club and International Club, to the Trio Program. I also got involved in two social clubs on campus, as both a member and a sweetheart. I met a variety of amazing people who taught me and helped me grow into the person I am today. The people at Ouachita challenged me and showed me how to see the world in many different ways and make it a better place. Ouachita inspires people and creates a community to build each other up.
When I’m not at OBU, I love to play soccer, run, hike, camp, read books and comics, watch movies, and just talk and play games with my friends.
When Ouachita gave me the opportunity to come back to admissions, I jumped for joy because of how much OBU means to me. I am so excited to meet prospective, and incoming students, and see them grow to love OBU and find a home at Ouachita.
Please don’t hesitate to call or email me with any questions or comments! Feel free to set up a campus tour or visit so we have the chance to meet in person.
