"The Signal" earns Gold Medalist rating from Columbia Scholastic Press Association

The Signal, Ouachita Baptist University’s student newspaper, and its accompanying website was awarded a Gold Medalist rating from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in the category of College Hybrid News.

Students were recently honored for having their essays chosen for publication in Assayers 27 (from left): Mattie Dodson, Lindsey Johnson Edwards, Emily Koonce, Aaron East, Sykes Martin, Laura Ward and Melissa Lee. Ouachita Tiger Tunes wins national award for Outstanding Student Advancement Program

Ouachita Baptist University’s annual Tiger Tunes was named the 2018 Outstanding Student Advancement Program by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education Affiliated Student Advancement Programs at the recent national Conference for Student Advancement in Louisville, Ky.

Former Ouachita student Barrett Baber wins Grammy Gig of a Lifetime ??

It’s been quite a week for former Ouachita Baptist University student Barrett Baber (’02) as one of his dreams comes true – performing at the Grammys. Baber, who recently won the nationwide Grammy Gig of a Lifetime competition, will perform live at Club Nokia in Los Angeles and be featured in the Grammy Live coverage on Sunday, Jan. 26.
