Savannah Pierce crowned 2022 Homecoming Queen at Ouachita

October 25, 2022

Savannah Pierce, a senior Christian studies major from Dover, Ark., was crowned Ouachita Baptist University’s 2022 Homecoming Queen during a pregame ceremony at Cliff Harris Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 8. Pierce represented the Ouachita marching band. She is involved in the Ouachita marching band color guard and Tri Chi women’s social club and is a Kappa Chi men’s social club little sis.

Outstanding alumni honored during Ouachita's Homecoming festivities Oct. 8

Five Ouachita Baptist University graduates received the university’s Alumni Milestone Award on Saturday, Oct. 8. Based on their professional achievements, community service and dedication to their alma mater, the honorees were selected by a committee of Ouachita faculty and staff and Ouachita President Ben Sells.

Erica Dixon crowned 2021 Homecoming Queen at Ouachita

Erica Dixon, a senior graphic design major from Arkadelphia, Ark., was crowned Ouachita Baptist University’s 2021 Homecoming Queen during a pregame ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 2. Dixon represented Tri Chi women’s social club, which she serves as president. She also is a member of the Tiger Steel Band and is a Kappa Chi men’s social club little sis.

Ouachita crowns Holly Shipp as 2020 Homecoming Queen

Holly Shipp, a senior Christian studies/Biblical studies, Christian missions and Christian ministries triple major from Arlington, Texas, was crowned Ouachita Baptist University’s 2020 Homecoming Queen on Thursday morning in Evans Student Center surrounded by her peers. Shipp represented the Pruet Sisterhood. She is a member of Tri Chi women’s social club and involved in Campus Ministries.

Ouachita names 2019 Alumni Milestone Award recipients

Ouachita Baptist University recognized five outstanding alumni in the 10th class of Ouachita Alumni Milestone Award recipients at its Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 5: Mauricio Vargas, Dr. Jim Spann, Brad Sullivan, Dr. Sarah Beth Harrington and Laura Cox. This year’s honorees represent the graduating classes of 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009, respectively.
