Ouachita celebrates first MBA graduates
November 06, 2024Ouachita Baptist University conferred its first Master of Business Administration degrees as faculty and staff gathered with students and their families at the Hickingbotham School of Business on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Abby Moseley crowned 2024 Homecoming Queen at Ouachita
October 28, 2024Abby Moseley, a senior secondary education and mathematics double major from Centerton, Ark., was crowned Ouachita Baptist University’s 2024 Homecoming Queen during a pregame ceremony at Cliff Harris Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 12. Moseley represented the Tri Chi women’s social club, where she has served as president. A member of Kappa Delta Pi honor society for education, she has been named to the President’s List at Ouachita and served as a tutor in the Academic Success Center. Moseley is also a Campus Ministries ministry leader and has been a manager for the Tiger Women’s Basketball team.

Ouachita's Fall 2024 enrollment highest in 58 years
September 06, 2024Ouachita Baptist University has reported a total Fall 2024 enrollment of 1,858, an increase from last fall and the university’s highest total headcount in almost six decades.
Pool named dean of Ouachita's School of Education
August 20, 2024Dr. Rachel Pool, associate professor of education at Ouachita Baptist University, has been named dean of the Huckabee School of Education after 13 years on the Ouachita faculty. Pool began providing leadership June 1 for the school’s departments of Education and Kinesiology, which offer six undergraduate degrees between them as well as graduate programs in curriculum & instruction and exercise science.

Ouachita's nursing program expands, earns full state board approval
September 10, 2024Ouachita Baptist University’s on-campus nursing program is expanding to serve more students as its first graduates celebrate a 92% first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination. The university recently received grants to increase its capacity for students and faculty for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. This summer also included the announcement of full Arkansas State Board of Nursing approval in May.
Qualified Ouachita students guaranteed admission to UALR's Bowen School of Law
