ACT RESIDUAL TESTING

If special test accommodations are needed for test takers wanting to take the ACT
Residual, they must have previously registered for the ACT National Test and have
been approved for special testing accommodations. Test takers may then use their approved
ACT National Extended Time/Special Testing Letter to also receive special testing
accommodations for the ACT Residual Test. The following link will provide information

If test takers have not previously received special test accommodations through ACT
National Testing, then their requests must be submitted to, and approved by, the university’s
ADA Coordinator. Please call 870-245-5591 or email jarboed@obu.edu if further information is needed.
According to Ouachita Baptist University’s ACT Residual Testing policy, an ACT National
Extended Time/Special Testing Approval Letter or approval by the university’s ADA
Coordinator is required before ACT Residual Testing with special accommodations can
be given-NO EXCEPTIONS. These requests must be received by the university 1-2 weeks
prior to testing.
When are ACT Residual Tests given?
ACT Residual Testing is given on Fridays only during the academic year. Testing during
the summer months is given based on availability. Please call Admissions Counseling
at 870-245-5110 to make your testing request. All requests for ACT Residual Testing
require a three day advance notice.
Testing Day Procedures and Schedule
Test takers are required to meet in the Admissions Office, located in Cone Bottoms
100, at 8:00 a.m. They will then be directed to Business Services, Cone Bottoms 140,
to pay the $45 ACT Residual registration fee. Once payment is made, test takers will
be directed to the Academic Success Center located in Lile Hall 122 where the test
will be administered beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. Upon completion, test takers
will be dismissed for lunch. Test will conclude between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
(provided that special accommodations are not needed). Test takers may return to the
Registrar’s Office, Cone Bottoms 210, between 1:15 and 2:00 p.m. to receive their
test scores.
