Dan Andrews began teaching as an adjunct professor at Ouachita in the fall of 2025
before joining as a full time faculty member in 2026. He teaches a variety of business
courses including Data Fundamentals, AI for Business, Insurance Principles and Real
Estate Principles.
Biography
Dan grew up in central Arkansas and through the witness of Christian parents and the
support of a loving church, he became a follower of Christ at an early age. He grew
up with an appreciation for the mission of Ouachita with his dad serving on the original
business advisory board. Dan attended Ouachita and lettered in football for two seasons
before transferring to UCA.
Dan began his career at big four accounting firm, Deloitte, before moving to a mid
size retail company where he took on various roles in accounting and finance. In 2012,
he helped found Dale Capital Partners, a family office and then in 2016 he was a founder
and CEO of Tempus Realty Partners, a real estate private equity firm managing more
than $1 billion in properties across more than 30 states.
Dan is a CPA licensed in Arkansas, member of the Arkansas Society of CPA’s and AICPA.
He founded and organized the nonprofit, GROW, providing financial education and 529
accounts for elementary students in disadvantaged schools. He has been recognized
as Arkansas Business of the year Finalist in 2022, Arkansas Business 40 under 40 in
2018 and several years on the Arkansas 250 list. He was featured in Forbes magazine
in June 2024 highlighting how Tempus built their success through Sale Leasebacks.
Dan and his wife Laura are members of Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock,
Ark. where he is a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. They have been married since
2003 and have three children, Zeke, Titus and Violet.
Q&A
Why did you come to Ouachita?
Ouachita has always been where I wanted to teach. It’s been a part of my family story
for three generations now. I believe Ouachita has an indispensable role in preparing
the next generation of godly men and women to lead our institutions, and I want to
be a part of this important mission.
Why did you decide to become a professor?
Most of my career has involved teaching, mentoring and guiding those with less experience,
and it was one of my favorite things about leadership. I always thought teaching at
Ouachita was something I would like to do someday. God moved obstacles and aligned
timing in a way only He could in order to make that a reality.
Why is your subject an important one in our world?
Decisions made by leaders in the business world affect everyone in our society. The
world is going to have talented business leaders shaping things for the next generation.
We need as many of those leaders as possible to be highly competent but also grounded
in biblical truth and wisdom.
What do you want future students to know about your degree program?
God has a plan for people who pursue a career in business. He created them with that
interest, gifted them with the talents to help them excel in it, and He did that because
He has purpose in the work ahead of them. We want to prepare them to pursue that work
with the passion that comes from knowing they are doing exactly what God wants them
to do.

What has been a meaningful Bible verse or passage for you?
Psalm 1:1-3 says “Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,Nor
stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! 2 But his delight is
in the Law of the Lord, And on His Law he meditates day and night. 3 He will be like
a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its
leaf does not wither and in whatever he does, he prospers.”
This passage resonates with me because it reminds me of what a blessing it has been
to be surrounded by so many godly people in my life.
