About
Jennifer Maddox is passionate about teaching the fine art of dance in Arkansas. She is an award winning
choreographer, and long time dance instructor for Ouachita.
Jennifer is a recipient of an Individual Artist Fellowship from The Arkansas Arts
Council recognizing her artistic ability in choreography. She is also the dance Artist
in Residence at Henderson State University, where she is the dance program director,
dance instructor, and director and choreographer for the resident dance company. She
has been movement instructor at the Arkansas Arts Center since 1992, where she helped
to develop the movement class curriculum.
She teaches annually for AAC Theatre Academy youth, as well as workshops for the resident
actors of the AAC Children’s Theatre. She is an invited presenter and master teacher
each year for the South Region of The American College Dance Association Conference.
She also enjoys teaching master classes throughout the state of Arkansas for youth
in the performing arts. Maddox has served on the boards of The Arkansas Dance Network
and The New Creation Dance Company. She volunteers for the THEA Foundation, as well
as other non profit art organizations around Arkansas.
