About
While my dentist told me some (untrue) rumors about Ouachita, I knew it was the place
God had for me from my first visit to campus, but I didn't realize how much until
He called me back here in 2014.
While my educational background is in writing and design both for communications and
theatre, I have had multiple roles at Ouachita. These include Box Office Manager,
Fine Arts Administrator, Resident Director, Admissions Counselor, Guest Experience
Coordinator, Assistant to the Honors Director, and Director of the Discover Program
(for undecided students). I currently serve as Director of Career & Calling, as well
as an adjunct instructor and stage director for Festival of Christmas. This variety
uniquely qualifies me to discuss how calling is a journey (rather than a destination)
and has given me an intimate view of Ouachita that I am excited to share!
When not at Ouachita, I do freelance design, write and direct plays, tour historic
homes and gardens, and play a ton of board games with my family and friends. Ultimately
I feel I have been called to help others toward authentic Christian faith and to create
magical experiences and stories that deliver His redemptive truth. I trust God to
provide unique opportunities to live out that calling each day, though it's certainly
not always easy or flashy. But even so, it's still definitely worth it!

If you were anything other than a professor, what would you be and why?
I would run a Narnia-themed amusement park!
What would you want a prospective student to know about your program or your administrative
area?
Determining your calling and preparing for your career is NOT something to save for
senior year! You will always be more than just your job, so we want to help you think
about that and get the most out of your time at Ouachita for your future!
