About
Dr. Amber Chelette joined the faculty of Ouachita's Department of Kinesiology & Leisure Studies in 2015.
Amber has taught various courses within the department and emphasizes hands-on learning
and community engagement. She has conducted research regarding fitness programs for
college students as well as individuals with disabilities.
She lives in Arkadelphia with her husband, Adam, who is a youth pastor, and their
children, Josie and JAC. They also have three dogs.

If you were anything other than a professor, what would you be and why?
If I ever left academia, I would probably start a non-profit for assisting people
with disabilities in leading a healthy lifestyle
Do you have a favorite place on campus?
I love how beautiful our campus is in general. There is always so much color in every
season.
What do you like to watch in your free time?
I love a good murder mystery, and I enjoy historical docu-dramas.
