About
Prior to returning to Ouachita in 1985, Sherri worked two years for the Kirby Co-op
as a speech pathologist. Previous experience in the banking industry during college
breaks and after leaving the speech path field led Sherri to work in the business
office when she and her husband, Bill, returned to Arkadelphia. Sherri worked as the
assistant cashier until 1988 when she moved to payroll and fringe benefits. It became
apparent Ouachita needed more than one person and, in fact, needed a department to
monitor benefits, compliance, etc. She has been in the role ever since!
Fun Facts
Married to OBU alum and current employee, Bill. Parents of Ouachita alumna, Blair.
I was the first person in my family to come to Ouachita and since that time, my daughter,
three nephews, one niece, two niece-in-laws (is that such a thing) and a great nephew
have all graduated from Ouachita, as well as my son-in-law. We have two grandchildren
that we hope continue the tradition one day!
