Ouachita Worship exists as a community of next-generation worship leaders who communicate the reality of the gospel with the Ouachita community and local churches through God-glorifying worship, inspired songwriting and servant leadership. Members of this group are entrusted to serve as worship leadership in Ouachita’s weekly chapel. This group is also available to lead retreats, church worship services and other events.

Ouachita appoints alumnus Larry Grayson as chair of the Department of Worship Arts

Ouachita Baptist University’s School of Fine Arts has appointed alumnus Larry Grayson as chair of the Department of Worship Arts and instructor of music. Originally from Camden, Ark., Grayson previously served 10 years as music and worship consultant for the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) in Little Rock, Ark.

Alumni profile: Michael Bleecker ('00) Leading the local church

Michael Bleecker didn’t come to Ouachita to study worship ministry. In fact, he’d never even picked up a guitar. But freshman year, that all changed. Now, Bleecker leads thousands of people in worship each week at The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas.
