  • All resident hall rooms have one phone jack.  Students can bring an analog phone and phone cord to make personal phone calls using the OBU phone system.  Each room is assigned a unique 4 digit extension number.  To be reached from off campus, the phone number will be 870-245-XXXX.  If you do not know your 4 digit extension number, login to INFO and it will be found on the Student Info Page.
  • Do not bring cordless phones that work in the 2.4Ghz frequencies as this will interfere with the WiFi signal in the resident halls.  900Mhz and 5.8Ghz cordless phones are acceptable.
  • Those living in off-campus housing (Starlight, Lancelot, Tatman Corner, OBU Apartments, etc.) and wish to activate their phone line will need to contact a local phone company such as AT&T to have a phone line connected. Monthly service fees will be responsible between the Student and said local phone provider.  OBU will not be responsible for any service charges or fees for the line to be connected or disconnected and will be the sole responsibility of resident.
