BA Physics

PStudents seeking a foundation in physics as a liberal arts degree, but who do not intend to become a physicist, find that a Bachelor of Arts in Physics degree is an ideal option. This degree may be well suited for students seeking to continue their education in medical, dental, business, ministry, or law school.  This degree focuses on the core physics principles as well as requiring a solid background in Calculus, yet still leaves significant room for choice in physics electives and topics that are interesting to the student. The B.A. in Physics requires 27 physics hours to complete, but in spite of the reduced number of physics hours, students will still be held to the same standard of rigor and expectations as any other physics degree. There is no compromise for excellence.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day.
- Albert Einstein (Physicist)

This is a stand-alone degree, so a student can take additional physics courses or take courses from around campus in other disciplines. It is possible to pair a B.A. in Physics with a second major in some another area within or outside of science. This is a very flexible degree that still prepares students to be well-rounded critical thinkers and life-long learners.
