Employers
Ouachita invites employers, recruiters and organizational representatives to campus
throughout the academic year to connect with our students and faculty. The Ouachita
Career & Calling team hosts a number of recruitment events each semester and also
works closely with employers in a variety of ways. Please let us know how we can
work with you!
Attend the Career & Networking Expo Ouachita’s annual Career & Networking Expo is designed to connect organizations and employers with our students, faculty and
recent graduates. Held in the Walker Conference Center, the expo hosts businesses,
nonprofits, ministries, government entities, school districts, graduate programs and
more in one centralized location that is ideal for exchanging ideas and contact information.
The date of our Spring 2020 expo is TBD. Registration fee is $50 and includes your
booth space, refreshments, and promotion of your organization to the Ouachita community.
Interview Our Students
We invite you to come to Ouachita during the fall and spring semesters to conduct
on-campus interviews with our students. The Ouachita Career & Calling team actively
promotes these interview opportunities and works closely with key faculty and staff
to identify students and recent graduates who are potential fits for such opportunities.
If you are interested in providing experience and feedback for our students, we would
also love for you to consider conducting mock interviews. This is an invaluable resource
for our students and will also allow you to meet potential hires and interns during
their sophomore and junior year.
To schedule an on-campus interview or learn more about the process, please contact
Career & Calling at careerservices@obu.edu or call (870) 245-5593. We hope to have
you on campus soon!
Post Job & Internship Opportunities
Tiger Career Connection, Ouachita’s exclusive online job posting site for students
and alumni, allows you to quickly and easily post internships, part-time and full-time
positions at no cost. You have the ability to include descriptions, requirements
and hiring criteria and promote the best way for students and alums to apply for these
positions.
We invite you to join Handshake today and post opportunities! As always, you are welcome to talk directly with one
of our Career & Calling staff members at any time about opportunities and we are happy
to post and promote these on your behalf.
Information Tables
Employers and organizations have the opportunity to set up in the Evans Student Center
throughout the semester to meet with our students in a casual setting. Please contact
the Ouachita Career & Calling staff to discuss this opportunity.
Staff Recruiting for Camps
Christian camps may recruit on-campus for staff. Because of the significant number
of camps recruiting each year, we have some guidelines in place to keep the process
fair. We are not able to make announcements for camps in chapel, at Refuge, or in
classes. If your visit is approved, Student Life will include your camp's recruitment
in an email to all students the week of your visit. You can find the form here.
Let Us Know What You Need!
The Ouachita Career & Calling team wants to stay on top of hiring trends and organizational
needs so that we can best support our students and alumni in their career development.
If your organization has specific needs and insights to share, please let us know
how we can best communicate these opportunities to our students, faculty and alumni.
We understand the demands of matching needs with quality staff members and we would
love to help you do just that!
