The ultimate Ouachita freshman bucket list
January 01, 2020
The first year of college can be hard. Moving to a new place is full of uncertainty.
The summer before my freshman year, I was worried about making friends and going on
fun adventures. Once school started, my fears were gone. I met my best friends, and
we had a lot of fun.
To ease your fears, I created a list of activities for you and your soon-to-be friends.
See how many you can check off throughout your freshman year. This will at least give
you a start on how to spend your weekends.
- Float the Caddo River
- Attend at least one night of TWIRP (The Woman Is Required to Pay)
- Eat at Cajun Snow in Caddo Valley
- Go to a Refuge service
- Participate in Tiger Tunes
- Sign up for Tiger Serve Day
- Go to a CAB movie night
- Have a bonfire at DeGray Lake
- Hammock at the bluff
- Guard the Tiger
- Attend Battle of the Ravine
- Spend a Saturday in downtown Hot Springs
- Make a late night Waffle House run
- Go to Festival of Christmas
- See the Gurdon light
- Have a CDA (Campus Drive Around)
- Rush
- Play sardines or hide-and-seek in the empty buildings at night
- Hike Pinnacle Mountain in Little Rock
- Participate in Tiger Traks
Don’t know what some of these are yet? Don’t worry. Your newly found Ouachita community will help you out. These are all too good to miss.
