Riley’s principal applied instructor is Dr. Natilan Crutcher, visiting assistant professor of music at Ouachita.

“It’s really great getting to see three and a half years of hard work pay off. It’s been so fun getting to work with Dr. Crutcher,” said Riley, a choral music education major from Fort Smith, Ark. “I can’t thank her and all my friends enough for supporting me through this journey.”

At Ouachita, Riley is president of Ouachita Singers and is a member of Tri Chi women’s social club, Ouachita Student Foundation and Kappa Delta Pi honor society for education.

During her recital, Riley will perform “Flow, My Tears'' by John Dowland, “Non Posso Disperar'' by Giovanni Bononcini, “II Mio Bel Foco (Quella Fiamma)” by Benedetto Marcello, “Mädchenlied Op. 85, No. 3” by Johannes Brahms, “Cinq mélodies ‘de Venise’’' by Gabriel Faurè, “Nuit d’étoiles'' by Claude Debussy, “7 Canciones populares Españolas” by Manuel de Falla and “Live Out Loud” from A Little Princess, The Musical by Brian Crawley and Andrew Lippa.
