Ouachita Stories

Kristin Cordell, a senior piano performance and Spanish double-major from Fort Smith, Ark., will present her senior piano recital on April 15 at 8 p.m. in Mabee Fine Arts Center’s McBeth Recital Hall on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University.

Cordell has been named to Ouachita’ President’s List and is a member of the Carl Goodson Honors Program, Friends of the Fine Arts, Alpha Chi national college honor society and Sigma Alpha Iota international music fraternity for women.

Cordell will perform J.S. Bach’s “Toccata in E minor BWV 914,” W.A. Mozart’s “Sonata K.284: I. Allegro,” and Frédéric Chopin’s “Etude in F minor, Op.10, no.9,” followed by Franz Liszt’s “Années de Pélerinage, Vol. II S.161 Italie: No. 5 Sonetto 104 del Petrarca” and Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Concerto No.2 in G minor, Op.22: I. Andante Sostenuto.” She will conclude the recital with William Bolcom’s “The Garden of Eden: III. The Serpent’s Kiss.”
