Ouachita welcomes guests for Family Day Oct. 24

October 21, 2009 - Brooke Showalter

Ouachita Baptist University welcomes students’ families to campus for Family Day Saturday, Oct. 24.

“Visitors are always welcome on our campus; this is just a day set aside to honor the families of our students and let them enjoy the campus with their students,” said Tim Harrell, OBU director of campus activities.

Guests will have the opportunity to browse the residence halls in an open house from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. The Commons, Ouachita’s cafeteria, will serve a steak and twice-baked potato lunch, which can be purchased for $6.24 for those without a meal plan.

All are welcome to attend the Tiger Tailgate leading up to the football game against Southwest Baptist University. The tailgate will be held near the Heflin Tennis Center and costs $5 for those who aren’t OBU students.

For more information about Family Day, contact Tim Harrell at harrellt@obu.edu or (870) 245-5539.
