Ouachita Baptist University welcomes prospective students and their families to campus
Saturday, Feb. 20, for Winter Preview Day. To register, visit www.obu.edu/previewday.
Winter Preview Day offers visitors a glimpse of life at Ouachita through touring campus;
meeting current students, faculty and administrators; and attending a Tiger basketball
game.
“It’s a time for them to be on campus and get a lot of their questions answered,”
explained Lori Motl, director of OBU’s office of admissions counseling. “They will
see a snapshot of student life and have the opportunity to visit with deans and financial
aid officials.”
Preview Day begins with registration at 12:30 p.m. in the lobby of Jones Performing
Arts Center followed by an opening program in JPAC at 1 p.m. The program will include
a discussion of financial aid and introductions to Ouachita’s admissions counselors.
At 1:40 p.m., students and parents have the opportunity to learn more about Ouachita’s
academic programs in a meeting with an admissions counselor and the dean of the school
that they are interested in entering. An admissions counselor will then lead visitors
on a tour of campus.
Following the campus tours, visitors will be invited to an afternoon meal of hot dogs
in the Ouachita Commons cafeteria from 3:30-4 p.m. and then to an evening of Tiger
basketball as the men’s and women’s teams take on Southern Arkansas University in
Bill Vining Arena.
