Author Dr. Gary Schmidt presents chapel address, discussion, book signing

Ouachita Baptist University’s Departments of Education and English are hosting author Dr. Gary Schmidt on Monday, Jan. 24, from 7-8 p.m. for a discussion and book signing in Ouachita’s Young Auditorium.
Dr. Schmidt will also be the guest lecturer for Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 10
a.m. held in Jones Performing Arts Center.
Dr. Schmidt is a Calvin College professor and the author of several children’s books.
Monday he will discuss his novels Wednesday Wars and Trouble with Goza Middle School and Ouachita faculty and students. Immediately following
the question and answer panel discussion, Dr. Schmidt will be available for a book
signing and refreshments, including cream puffs, the signature dessert of Wednesday
Wars. Ouachita’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society will host
the book signing reception.
