Katelyn Helton to present sophomore recital Feb. 11

Katelyn Helton, a sophomore musical theatre major at Ouachita Baptist University,
will present her sophomore music theatre recital Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. in Ouachita’s
McBeth Recital Hall.
Helton, a Grand Prairie, Texas, native, will begin the recital with “Der Schwur” by
Meyer-Helmund, followed by “Pur dicesti, o bocca bella” by Antonio Lotti and “Nuit
d’étoiles” by Claude Debussy. She will conclude with Duncan Sheik’s “Whispering” from
Spring Awakening and Jeff Bowen’s “A Way Back to Then” from .
Helton will be accompanied by Abby Seibert, a 2009 Ouachita music graduate from Benton,
Ark. The recital is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the
