Caldwell is also a member of Phi Kappa Lambda national music honor society and Alpha Chi national college honor society.

Caldwell’s performance will include “Trumpet Sonata No. 3” by Domenico Gabrielli, the third movement of “Trumpet Concerto in E-flat Major” by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, the first movement of “Sonata for Trumpet and Piano” by Halsey Stevens and the first movement of “Trumpet Sonata” by Paul Hindemith.

Senteney is a music education major from Plano, Texas. She has been the principal flute in Arkansas Intercollegiate Band for three years, earned first place in Ouachita’s Concerto Competition in 2011 and has served as the president of Ouachita’s chapter of Collegiate National Association for Music Education.

For her senior recital, Senteney will perform “Sonata ‘Undine’” by Carl Reinecke, “Sonata I” by Johann Sebastian Bach and “Ballade Pour Flute et Piano” by Frank Martin.

“I am looking forward to getting to play in this recital because it is something I have put a great amount of work, time and heart into,” said Senteney, “It has helped push me to grow as a musician in technique and in my own personal style of playing.”

Louis Menendez, OBU artist-in-residence and principal coach accompanist, will accompany both students on piano. For more information, contact OBU’s School of Fine Arts at (870) 245-5129.
