October 26, 2012 - Adam Webb
Ouachita Baptist University's Pruet School of Christian Studies will host Seminary
Day on Friday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Evans Student Center.
"This event provides an opportunity for Ouachita students to receive information that
will help them make informed decisions about their graduate studies after OBU," said
Tracey Knight, administrative assistant to the dean of the Pruet School.
Representatives will have information regarding programs, classes, scholarships, costs
and other information for interested students. It is open to all students.
"Seminary Day has an impact on campus because it isn't just for Biblical studies students;
it is an option for anyone from any major that feels led to the ministry field," said
Caleb Knight, a senior Christian studies major from Arkadelphia, Ark. "It puts the
options out there for students to see what they would be investing in and is a good
place for any student to get started in the seminary choosing process."
Representatives from the following seminaries will be present: B. H. Carroll Theological
Institute in Arlington, Texas; Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Ala.; Dallas
Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas; Gary Cook Graduate School in Dallas, Texas;
