Alpha Tau to host Spring Swing competition March 12

March 11, 2013 - Ryleigh Salmon

Alpha Tau invites all Ouachita students to attend the honor society’s second annual Spring Swing competition, March 12, from 7-9 p.m. in the Tiger Den. There is a $15 per couple entry fee and a non-competitor admission price of $5 per couple and $3 for singles. The winning couple will receive a trophy and a $100 cash prize will be awarded to the club or organization that sponsors the most popular couple.

For those students who are afraid of falling down in front of all their friends, there will be swing lessons as well as refreshments.

Spring Swing serves as a fundraiser for the Carl Goodson Honors Program and is a “great way for the campus to get together,” said Hunter Wolf, a junior business administration and management major from Waco, Texas. “I’m excited about getting to hang out with friends, meet new people and have an amazing night.”

“The OBU Jazz Combo is wonderful, as always, the competitors are amazing and the judges are hilarious,” added Dr. Barbara Pemberton, associate professor of Christian missions and director of the honors program.

To enter the competition fill out the form at www.obu.edu/honors/spring-swing-2013/ and send the $15 entry fee to OBU Box 3718.
