Ouachita co-sponsors Arkansas Travelers’ Faith & Family Night 2013 on Aug. 3

Ready for some baseball and a summer concert? Ouachita Baptist University is co-sponsoring
the Arkansas Travelers’ Faith & Family Night on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Dickey-Stephens
Park in North Little Rock.
Faith & Family Night 2013, which begins at 6:10 p.m., will feature the Travelers vs.
the Springfield Cardinals plus a free postgame concert with American Idol’s Colton
Dixon.
Dixon finished in the Top 10 on American Idol’s 11th season. He released “A Messenger,”
his debut album of faith-based music, in January. It hit No. 1 on the U.S. Christian
chart and No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 200.
“Ouachita is pleased to partner with the Travelers to bring an evening of family-friendly
and faith-based entertainment to the region,” said Trennis Henderson, OBU vice president
for communications. “We invite families and youth groups from throughout the area
to come enjoy a fun outing with the Travs and Colton Dixon.”
Henderson noted that several Ouachita campus offices, including admissions counseling,
alumni, communications, development and the president’s office, partnered to help
sponsor the event. In addition to Ouachita, other Faith & Family Night sponsors include
Awakening Events, Chick-fil-A, Grace Communications, FOX-16 and KARK-4 News.
Individual tickets are $8 each and group tickets are available for $6 each. For details,
