Pruet School’s annual Seminary Day set for Nov. 7 at Ouachita

Ouachita Baptist University’s Pruet School of Christian Studies will host its annual Seminary Day on Friday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Evans
Student Center. The event is open to students of all majors and classifications.
“We encourage all of our students who are called to ministry or missions to take a
serious look at seminary or grad school,” said Dr. Danny Hays, dean of the Pruet School
of Christian Studies.
Seminary Day allows representatives from a number of schools to talk with students
about degrees and ministries unique to their seminaries.
“It’s important to us that our students make informed decisions about continuing their
education,” said Tracey Knight, the Pruet School’s administrative assistant. “Seminary
Day is a way we help them do that.”
Representatives from the following schools are expected to attend:
- B.H. Carroll Theological Institute in Arlington, Texas
- Beeson Divinity School (Samford University) in Birmingham, Ala.
- Criswell College in Dallas, Texas
- Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas
- Denver Seminary in Denver, Colo.
- East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas
- Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, Calif.
- Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass.
- Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics in Dallas, Texas
- John Brown University Graduate School in Little Rock, Ark.
- Logsdon School of Theology (Hardin-Simmons University) in Abilene, Texas
- Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Germantown, Tenn.
- Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo.
- New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, La.
- North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, Ill.
