October 22, 2015 - Meaghan Pollizi
Ouachita Baptist University’s Pruet School of Christian Studies will host its annual
Seminary Day on Friday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in Evans
Student Center and is for students of every major and classification.
“We encourage all of our students who are called to ministry or missions to take a
serious look at seminary or grad school,” said Dr. Danny Hays, dean of the Pruet School.
Students will have the opportunity to meet and speak with representatives from several
seminaries about degrees and ministries unique to their institutions.
“Seminary Day is a great way to check some of the seminary options out there and also
just to see if seminary is something you would be interested in,” said Anna Kumpuris,
a senior Christian studies major from Little Rock, Ark. “I had no interest in going
to seminary until I attended Seminary Day my sophomore year. … Seeing what seminary
had to offer convinced me.”
