Ouachita’s Elizabeth Ring to perform sophomore recital March 15

Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will host Elizabeth Ring in her sophomore recital on Friday, March 15, at 11 a.m. The recital, which will be held in McBeth Recital Hall in Mabee Fine Arts Center, is free and open to the public.

ERRing, a sophomore musical theatre major from Cabot, Ark., will perform Claude Debussy’s “Les Papillons,” followed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Ach, ich Fühl’s” from Die Zauberflöte and “La Zingara” by Gaetano Donizetti. Next, Ring will perform Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Think of Me” from Phantom of the Opera and Frank Loesser’s “Marry the Man Today” from Guys and Dolls.

Ring’s instructors are Dr. Margaret Garrett, associate professor of music, and Stephanie Murry, associate professor of theatre arts. Phyllis Walker will be the accompanist for the recital. Danielle Hall, a sophomore musical theatre major from Prairie Grove, Ark., will assist Ring for “Marry the Man Today” and Ring’s choreographer is Autumn Romines, a junior musical theatre major from Cabot, Ark.
