IT Update
September 18, 2020 - News Bureau
This page will be updated with additional details as the situation develops. Brief updates also will be sent by text message by Ouachita’s Rave Emergency Alert system.
Update: 10 a.m. • Sept. 18, 2020
Ouachita currently is experiencing issues with several of its network servers. IT Services is actively seeking a solution, but service is expected to be out throughout the day Friday, Sept. 18, and possibly into the weekend. While the problems are more widespread and complex than we would like, not all campus systems are affected.
What is currently affected?
- Campus email
- Several campus servers, including the F drive, N drive, M drive and more (we are currently evaluating the breadth of the problem)
- Cash registers in Evans Student Center food court will be down today, but those locations will remain open. Please be patient and expect delays as staff will track purchases manually. No delays are expected in Ouachita Commons.
What is not affected?
- Moodle
- Zoom
- Info Portal
- Bluezone
Instructors who have used email to distribute information for class such as Zoom links are encouraged to also post that information on Moodle.
