Frequently Asked Questions

We can cater to most dietary needs/restrictions. The meals are cooked outside at the campsite so some limitations may apply. Be specific about your restrictions on your registration and we will contact you if we cannot accommodate your needs.

YES! This trip is made for you. It is a great way to experience God’s creation and learn a little bit about camping. There are also bathrooms and showers at the campground.

We will be sleeping in tents. If the weather permits and students would like to sleep in hammocks that is permissible as well.

Log into your account to make a payment, or check your email as we have possibly emailed you a link to pay. Final payments are due July 24.

Upon arrival, we will travel to our campsite and get set up for our outdoor living experience. Students will rotate through different activities each day on the following basic schedule. Our evening activities will differ each night.

7:30 a.m.     Breakfast

8:00 a.m.     Make and pack lunches

8:30 a.m.     Leave for daily activities

12:00 p.m.   Lunch

5:00 p.m.     Arrive back at camp

6:00 p.m.     Dinner

7:00 p.m.     Evening activity

9:00 p.m.     Free time

11:00 p.m.   Bedtime

Check-in will be in the Evans Student Center from 3-4 p.m. on the start date of your session. Students who are leaving their cars for the week can park them in the Mabee parking lot. This is the lot just beyond the student center parking area. On the last day of your session, we will arrive back to campus around 2 p.m. at the Walker Conference Center which is just beyond the Mabee parking lot.

Take a look at the packing list to see what you need. We will provide everyone with tents, equipment for tubing, dining utensils, etc. If needed, we can also provide a sleeping bag, sleeping pad and hammock. We will contact students a few weeks prior to the trip to find out who needs this equipment.

If you cancel your reservation 1 month before the event your payment will be returned in full. After that you lose any payments made. To cancel, please email reclife@obu.edu as soon as you know you are not able to attend.
