Ouachita Stories

You’ve carved up the turkey, binged on mashed potatoes and hopefully gotten your fill of football (and napping, if we’re honest). Now what? Well if you’re anything like the rest of America, your mind naturally switches to Christmas the moment the sun goes down on the fourth Thursday in November. Not only Christmas, but Christmas shopping! What should you get your Ouachitonian brother? Or your future Tiger children? Here’s a quick list of some great stocking stuffers for the season!

 



1. Ornaments
What mom doesn’t love unwrapping memory-filled ornaments from their loved ones? Hang it on the tree right away or save it for next year’s tree – an ornament is a gift that keeps on giving! You can find this treasure at the OBU Campus Store for just $19.99.

 



2. Beanie
Ouachita has beanies for everyone in the family, and they’re sure to keep your noggin warm as winter weather approaches. With several colors and styles, you might even grab one for yourself while you’re shopping! Prices range from $14.99 to $26.99 depending on styles.

 



3. Dr. Jack’s Coffee
A warm, delicious and caffeinated gift can never be a bad choice for a college student or busy bee mom in action. Dr. Jack’s, the Ouachita coffee spot, sells their coffee through the OBU Campus Store or on their website. Don’t worry, Keurig lovers, k-cups also are available for purchase.

 



4. City of Heaven CD
Christmas is even more festive when you’re listening to the right music. Let the Ouachita Singers and Women’s Chorus grace your family’s household with the new City of Heaven CD. Students are selling these to raise support for their Spring Break choir tour of Italy. Support students and give the gift of music this Christmas! The CD can be purchased for $15 in the School of Fine Arts office or by calling 870-245-5129.

 



5. Faculty Books
Got a bookworm in the family? A theology fanatic? Books by our very own professors in the Pruet School of Christian Studies are the perfect gift for those book lovers. Order Dr. Danny Hays’ The Temple and the Tabernacle or Dr. Scott Duvall’s The Heart of Revelation online this Christmas!
