4 Ways to Use Your Christmas Break
January 01, 2020
You can only watch so much Netflix, right?... right?
You have roughly a month in between finals and classes starting in the spring. Family
is great, but that's a lot of family time. Here are four ways you can make the most
of your Christmas break before you can move back to campus (it's January 16 at 1 p.m.
if you were wondering).
1. Commit to a daily Bible reading plan -- CM has started a group for a 30 day plan to read through John and Acts. You're not too late to join us! Or if that doesn't work for you, find another reading plan that will get you into God's Word daily.
2. Intentionally re-connect with your high school and college friends -- Take initiative to meet up with friends and talk about things that matter. Simply
asking about how their fall semester went is a great way to find out what's going
on in their life. Look for ways to encourage, pray for, and share the gospel with
your friends (Christians need to hear the gospel every day too)
3. Find a Right Now Media video series to watch -- Through Ouachita you have a free account to Right Now Media. (sign up here if you haven't gotten yours yet.) They have great Bible studies, apologetics series,
and more (even Veggie Tales)
4. Read a good book (or three) -- Christmas break is a good time to read whatever you want. Here are
three good books we recommend:
Of course you could also use the time to volunteer with your local church, a ministry
or community program! Use your time well and we'll see you back on January 16th!
