Freshmen! Are you scared that you will miss your mom and dad when you come to Ouachita? Or are you thinking you'd like to connect with some great upper class students? Well, our ministry has you covered. FFG is a great way to meet other freshmen and to really get connected with upper class students that can help you on campus. We pair you with a 'mom' and 'dad' who are veterans of Ouachita. Then we give you ten 'brothers' and 'sisters' who are freshmen...just like you! The possibilities are endless with this ministry. You have family dinners, family movie nights, family Christmas parties, and family bonfires. It’s a great way to get connected to other students on campus! You wont regret the memories that you make with your family!
The people that I met in my Freshman Family Group my first year at OBU are some of my favorite humans. My first memory with them is sitting in the yard of Dad’s apartment carving pumpkins months before Halloween. I didn’t even know those people that day, but now they mean so much to me because they were a part of my transition into the Ouachita world. Ask an upperclassman about their freshman family group! They might have the funniest family memory of all.
