For Ethan Elkins, a freshman Christian studies and communications & media double major, just getting to college meant working extra hard. Elkins was diagnosed with autism in high school, though his struggles actually started earlier.

For Ethan Kuntz, a sophomore music industry major from Murfreesboro, Ark., while one opportunity didn’t work out, it ultimately led to the opportunity of a lifetime: beginning his music career.

From the "Ouachitonian": Hayden Reedy

Previously published in the 2019 Ouachitonian yearbook Hayden Reedy, a freshman communications and media major from Dallas, Texas, had a dream. However, it wasn’t the typical childhood dream of being a famous singer or athlete. Hayden dreamed of a career in law enforcement. “They could carry guns and drive fast,” said Reedy. “For a little boy, that was interesting.”

For Clay Mobley, a junior music industry major from Wylie, Texas, music is much more than a mere performance; music is a way of life. “I grew up singing in church choir, and I grew up watching my dad singing country music opries,” said Mobley. It was only natural that Mobley decided to follow in his father’s footsteps.
