Ouachita to host "Real and Imagined" exhibit by Justin Bryant through March 6
January 22, 2020Ouachita Baptist University’s Rosemary Adams Department of Art and Design will host “Real and Imagined,” an exhibit by Arkansas artist Justin Tyler Bryant, Jan. 14 through March 6. The exhibit will be displayed in the Rosemary Gossett Adams Gallery on the first floor of Moses-Provine Hall and is free and open to the public.
Ouachita hosts printmaking exhibit "Pigments and Process" Jan. 14-March 6
January 15, 2020Ouachita Baptist University’s Rosemary Adams Department of Art and Design will host a group exhibition titled “Pigments and Process” from Jan. 14 to March 6 featuring the work of Arkansas printmakers. The exhibit will be displayed in the Rosemary Gossett Adams Gallery on the second floor of Moses-Provine Hall and is free and open to the public. A reception for the featured artists will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, from 1-2 p.m.
Ouachita reports second consecutive 99% career outcomes rate for graduates
January 10, 2020Ouachita Baptist University reported yet another graduating class found success in their post-graduate pursuits as 99% of the 2019 graduating class currently is employed or furthering their education. The number also exceeds the most recent national average of 93% for colleges and universities.
Brown, Edwards, Matros, McCown and Studdard win 11th annual Ouachita Business Plan Competition
December 11, 2019Ouachita Baptist University students Olivia Brown, Savannah Edwards, Brandon Matros, Sheldon McCown and Allison Studdard received first place and a $4,000 cash prize for their business proposal, ImmunoSense, during the 11th annual OBU Business Plan Competition held Thursday, Dec. 5.
Ouachita Theatre to present One-Act Play Festival Dec. 5-6
December 05, 2019Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present its annual student-directed One-Act Play Festival on Thursday, Dec. 5, and Friday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Verser Theatre.
Dr. David W. Bebbington spoke at Ouachita Baptist University on Oct. 7 as part of the university’s Birkett Williams Lecture Series. A world-renowned scholar on evangelicalism, Bebbington focused his lecture on the history of evangelicalism and its relevancy to the modern Christian.
Ouachita's Patterson Summer Research Program sees record student participation, recognition
