Ouachita students Garcia, Holtzclaw and Terry to present recitals on April 7

Ouachita Baptist University will host Gideon Garcia, Mackenzie Holtzclaw and Lauren Terry in student recitals on Friday, April 7. Garcia’s recital will be held at 11 a.m. and Holtzclaw and Terry’s recitals will be held at 2 p.m. in Ouachita’s McBeth Recital Hall in Mabee Fine Arts Center.

Ouachita and Henderson to co-host "What Were You Wearing?" sexual assault survivor art exhibit April 2-20

Ouachita Baptist University and Henderson State University will simultaneously host the traveling art exhibit, “What Were You Wearing?” The exhibit, which will be located in the McClellan Rotunda at Ouachita and on the first floor of Huie Library at Henderson, will run from April 2-20 for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

13 Ouachita students named finalists in state NATS vocal competition

Thirteen Ouachita Baptist University students were named finalists at the 2017 Arkansas National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) auditions held at Harding University. Among the finalists, five Ouachita students earned first place awards.

Hannah Fender, Lauren Hutcheson and Bret Sanders will present their senior music theatre recitals on Tuesday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. The recital, which will be in Ouachita Baptist University’s McBeth Recital Hall in Mabee Fine Arts Center, is free and open to the public.

James Hawkins, with Arkansas Baptist Children’s Homes, presented a breakout session in the pastoral track.
