Ouachita to host NFMC Young Artist winner Angela Park Sept. 14

Ouachita Baptist University will host Angela Park, cello, in a guest concert 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 in McBeth Recital Hall on Ouachita’s campus. Park is the 2009-2011 National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Young Artist winner in strings.

Ouachita to host Rick Poynor in Birkett Williams lecture Sept. 16

Ouachita Baptist University will host Rick Poynor Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the university’s endowed Birkett Williams lecture series. Poynor’s lecture, “All Art Aspires to the Condition of Music (or vice versa),” will be held in Mabee Fine Arts Center’s McBeth Recital Hall on Ouachita’s campus and is open to the public and free of charge.
