Arkadelphia student honored for essay about Cone-Bottoms Hall
November 20, 2009Abby Turner, a fifth grade student at Peake Elementary School in Arkadelphia, has been named a first-place winner in the “Historic Moment in Arkansas” essay invitational, which was sponsored by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program and Radio Disney, according to AHPP Director Frances McSwain.

Ouachita beats Henderson in inaugural Battle of the Ravine Blood Drive
November 12, 2009Ouachita Baptist University not only won on the football field during the 2009 Battle of the Ravine but also in blood donations. The Red Cross hosted the inaugural Battle of the Ravine Blood Drive as a competition between the two universities that the entire student body could participate in.
