Haley Shourd crowned Miss Ouachita Baptist University

The Miss Ouachita Baptist Scholarship Competition took place Saturday, Feb. 4, in Jones Performing Arts Center where sophomore communications & media major Haley Shourd was crowned Miss Ouachita Baptist University. Shourd, 20, is a Conway, Ark., native.

Growing up in Arkadelphia and serving as Miss OBU has given Caroline Derby the opportunity of a lifetime. A junior communications & media/multimedia and political science double major, Derby has grown up dreaming about being a student at Ouachita. Derby has seen Ouachita from many different perspectives including coach’s daughter, faculty and staff daughter and student leader, as well as Miss Ouachita Baptist University.

Miss OBU Kaelin Clay to represent Ouachita in the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition

Miss Ouachita Baptist University Kaelin Clay, 19, will compete for the title of Miss Arkansas 2022 from June 11-18 during the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition at Robinson Center in Little Rock.

Ouachita Baptist University will host the 53rd Miss Ouachita Baptist University Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center. Sixteen contestants will compete for the crown.
